PANDORA'S BOX is a reference made to that story from Greek mythology recounts that Pandora was the first woman by order of Zeus as part of a punishment to Prometheus for revealing to humanity the secret of fire. Prometheus decided to steal the seeds of the gods Helios and give them to men so they could eat and perform other culinary tasks. Zeus was furious and ordered the creation of a woman who was filled with virtues of different gods. Hephaestus the clay molded and shaped him, gave him her girdle and alluring. Persuasion and the Graces gave necklaces, the hours they put a wreath and placed in her chest Hermes lies, seductive words and a mercurial character. Prometheus warned Epimetheus not to accept any gift from the gods, but Epimetheus did not listen to his brother accepted Pandora, finally falling in love with her and taking her as wife. Until then, mankind had lived a life entirely harmonious in the world, but Pandora opened the jar that contained all the evils (the expression "Pandora's box" instead of jar or amphora is a deformation Renaissance) releasing all human misfortunes (old age, sickness, fatigue, madness, vice, passion, plague, sorrow, poverty, crime, etc). Pandora closed the jar just before hoping out.
